Apartment 20, in the chalet Mont-Rouge, is a one-bedroom apartment sleeping up to 6 adults. The apartment is on the corner of the building, and has fantastic views of the Swiss Alps from its large balcony - the photo on the right is taken from the balcony.  The apartment is a few
minutes walk from the ski lift, and close to the
resort centre. There are two supermarkets, a swimming pool,
and a number of good bars and restaurants within a short
walk.
The apartment is a few
hundred metres away from Veysonnaz village, a
pituresque and historic Swiss village with many traditional
buildings. There are a number of hiking paths that start
close to the apartment, and there is a childrens' play area and sports
pitches nearby.

 Veysonnaz, meaning 'sunny place', is ideal for a short break, ski holiday or
summer holiday. This small, friendly ski resort in Valais, is part of the "4 Valleys" ski area - the largest ski area
in
Switzerland,
with over 400km of pistes. Veysonnaz is connected to the ski area by a
high-speed 8
person gondola, and the famous World Cup downhill course, Piste de l'Ours, is nearby. The "4 Valleys" ski area
also includes the resorts of Verbier, Haute-Nendaz, Thyon and La
Tzoumaz.
The resort is less than two hours from Geneva airport, with excellent transport links. There are hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails in the forest and mountains around the resort, including some of the best maintained "bisse" (irrigation channels) in the region. At an altitude of 1300m, Veysonnaz is 15 minutes drive from Sion, the capital of Valais, which has direct rail links with Geneva airport. Sion has a beautifully conserved old centre, and is at the heart of the Valais wine growing region. In the surrounding area there are lots of interesting places to visit, and many attractions suitable for all ages. In the summer, a variety of outdoor activities are organised in the resort for all to try. |
