Distance 4.5km, 1 hour This is a short walk through the forest around Veysonnaz, returning along the Bisse de Vex. For the most part it follows forest tracks and wide paths, though there are two short, steeper, sections on small paths. 1. Turn left at the main door of the apartment building (Mont Rouge), and follow the road for a few hundred metres through the resort to the road junction just past the Greppon Blanc restaurant. Turn sharp left here up the hill, following the signs for the tennis courts - just after passing the play park on the right the road crosses the Bisse de Vex. 2. Follow the road up past the tennis courts to its end, then carry on along the small path passing underneath the ski lift. Bear right at a junction and continue uphill - the path soon joins a new forest road. Turn left onto the forest road, then a short way up the hill turn left again onto another forest road. Follow the forest road gently down through the forest until it reaches the road between Veysonnaz and Piste de l'Ours. 3. Cross the road and follow it to the right for a few metres, then turn left onto a grassy track through the forest. Follow this track for a few hundred metres then turn left onto a smaller path that goes steeply downhill to a bridge over the Bisse de Vex. 4. Cross the Bisse and turn left - follow the wide path next to the Bisse, which soon comes to the road. Cross the road and walk pass the tourist information office and the ski lift station. The path then continues along the Bisse, passing behind the Mont Rouge apartment building, to join the outward route at the play park. Turn right and follow the road down to the junction at the Greppon Blanc restaurant, then turn right and follow the road back through the resort to Mont Rouge.
